From Rebekah:
I never thought of the day that I would fall pregnant, but in due time I did. I was blessed with carrying three beautiful little angels: Jaelynn who is 6, Kayden who is 2, and this one is Miss Kinsley Skye. She came as a complete surprise after I had lost her brother at 3 days old. Time must have decided that I was ready. So, Kinsley would be considered my rainbow baby. I guess the third time is the charm like they say.
Breaking the News:
Breaking the news to all 3 of my babies was not easy. I was honestly scared of their reactions. I thought long and hard about the perfect way to announce to them that I was expecting my very last baby. Eventually, my husband and I decided to wait a few months before we told anyone. We had to first see our doctor and confirm that everything was ok. After that, we decide to announce to everyone using our Facebook page. We did that by putting up her ultrasound. We also added that we would be expecting our little rainbow baby in April of 2019(She showed up at 36 weeks on the 21st of March 2019).
The Pregnancy:
I will say that this pregnancy gave me a big run lol. The very hardest part I think, was the pain between my back and legs. I could have done without all of that lol. In the beginning, everything was going well but towards the end is when it all hit at one time. When I say listen to your doctors, trust me, listen to them. Bed rest is a must. You'll thank your doctors later. It is all worth it in the end though.
Another hard part of being a pregnant mother is picking a name. You’ll go through so many names that you might even forget yours! It can be quite the back and forth. Kinsley means Kings Meadow while Skye means adventurous. Adventurous is something she has certainly turned out to be. I picked this name because for some reason I don’t know, it stuck out to me. I couldn’t bring myself to change it or think of any other name. It seemed to fit my baby in every way possible after her brother had left us. She has the same initials as him. Her name represents all she’s going to be in life and more. So far, it’s lived up to its expectations.
Advice to Future Mothers:
To all women that are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or have been pregnant, I’d say please take your time during the whole thing. Don’t rush. Enjoy every minute and every second of the little kicks, punches and all. When you’re handed that little angel in the end, you’ll look into their eyes and forget all the stretch pains and hits. Enjoy that special gift that you’ve got because before you know it, they’ll be all grown up and making their own babies. It’s like Kenny Chesney says: “Don’t blink”. I never understood what that meant until I had my babies.
