I love capturing graduation photos here at Ray Wedding Services. Yes, wedding photography is not the only service we offer. We also capture other memorable moments for you and your loved ones in and around Charleston, South Carolina. So, it was a pleasure to work with Amani Nicole Jackson, class of 2021, Fort Dorchester High School. Here are a few words on how that went.
- The Venue
Summerville SC at Azalea Park is a gorgeous location for Graduation photos just like these. They give you a chance to capture the hopeful celebrant with their eyes full of dreams ready to take on life. It also has some charming spots with great views that can form the background of your images, just like with Amani. So, I had no problem using this venue for this senior photo shoot, and the pictures came out beautifully. Amani also had a few words to share about her school life and what’s next in line.
- What’s Your Favorite School Memory?
My favorite high school memory has to be when we had an outside event organized by our school. They invited guest speakers to come, and my best friend Kaliyah and I got to spend time together. This was really special because we didn’t have the same classes, so we didn’t often get time to be together at school. We had loads of fun and played in a big ball pin.
- After Graduating, Where Are You Going from Here?
I want to become a registered nurse. I would like to work at MUSC in particular, as it is one of South Carolina’s major hospitals. I’ve always wanted to help people. It’s been my passion and dream for a very long time. I also love the fact that the healthcare industry is constantly growing and needs new faces. I will be getting a job as a CAN this summer as well, and I am so excited to get started.
- What Is Something You Are Passionate About?
As I mentioned earlier, I am passionate about people. Surprisingly, it took a long time for me to realize that everyone is different in their own way. Once I did, I discovered that this is linked to my passion in life. So, getting to know people from different backgrounds and just being a helping hand is really what keeps me going. I love helping others and putting a smile on their face.
- What Is the Funniest or Craziest Thing You Did in High School?
The craziest thing I did was in my sophomore year sneaking out of PE with my friend Jordan. I ended up coming back to the gym 5 minutes before the bell rang, though, so we didn’t get in trouble. Besides, I still passed with an A, so I can freely say this now.
- In Your Words, What Can You Say to Encourage People Looking Forward to Graduating?
Get your work done on time. The one thing I noticed was that time management is huge during your senior year. Although it’s your final year, time moves by really fast. One minute you’re excited to start, and the next thing you know, it’s time for finals. Please don’t wait for your senior year to mess up. Stay on top of everything!! Manage your time and apply for scholarships! These are really important and will help you as you move forward. I am happy I have this experience under my belt. I also look forward to the future and to celebrating many more milestones.
- How I Did at Amani’s Photoshoot
I had a great time documenting this special graduating milestone for Amani. She is brilliant and is very excited about the next step in her life. It’s always a pleasure to capture moments like these. I love to know that many successful years later, these are some of the pictures Amani will look back on with a smile. I wish her the very best that life has to offer.
