High school graduation is an important time. The kind of time we’ve just been through as a result of the pandemic has made it even more special. It’s the time when parents become aware that their little babies are entering adulthood. They are seniors now, and soon, they’ll be off to college making important life decisions by themselves. There is nothing more to do than to make sure that we document this special moment properly.
That’s what makes these kinds of photoshoots very important to me. I know that the pictures I am capturing will make it to the family mantlepiece. They’ll also be looked back on many years later to remember a noteworthy milestone. Who knows, they could even be passed down in the family album as an heirloom when it’s time. For this graduation photoshoot, I captured Reginay Gregory from Cane Bay High School. I also asked her to share a few words about high school and her plans for the future. Here is what she had to say?
- What’s Your Best Memory from School? Something That Makes You Smile Every Time You Think About It?
I’ve had some really great memories in High School tbh. But if I have to choose, one of my best memories from school was doing cheerleading. I was cheering against another team at a game. I had to support our Cobras to victory, and it was really fun.
- After Graduating, Where You Going from Here?
After graduation, I will be continuing my education at North Carolina A&T State University. It’s a great school, and I’m glad to be getting a chance to further my education here.
- What Is Something You Are Passionate About?
I am passionate about learning. I have always been an avid learner, and I love getting to know something new. In life, there are so many things that I don’t know. So, I would love to learn more about anything. You never know when it could come in handy. As they say, no knowledge is wasted. Way to go, Miss Gregory!
- Did You Have Any Activities in High School?
Yes, I cheered my sophomore & junior year. Being a cheerleader is a great responsibility. I enjoyed being at games and supporting our team to victory.
- What Is the Funniest or Craziest Thing You Did in High School?
Hmmm, this one is a little hard to pick. But it was probably the time I had to drive my teacher around for errands in my driver’s ed class. Can you imagine how that must have gone? Lol!
- In Your Words, What Can You Say to Encourage People Looking Forward to Graduating?
I’d just like to let everyone know that you can achieve whatever you want to. Just believe in yourself, and you’ll see that the sky is really the limit. There are so many options and opportunities after you graduate. Do whatever your heart desires to ensure that you can say that you were really happy at the end of the day.
- How I Did at Reginay Gregory’s Photoshoot
I had a lovely time helping Ms. Gregory preserve the special memories of her Senior Graduation. We worked together to ensure that the images we captured represented her personality and self. The pictures came out looking really impressive, too, as you can see. I wish her the very best in college and with other life decisions she makes.
