Jason and Cierra: The Gathering Wedding Photography
- Introduction
I had the honor of photographing Jason and Cierra’s special day. A day they will never forget. When Jason called me to ask me to photograph their wedding, I was truly honored. I never knew he would ever get married. As we sat on the phone to review everything, we decided to meet and talk more about things in person.
- The Engagement
When I got to meet the Bride (the love of his life) I got to ask how they met? She told me in 2015, she was working at a doctor’s care when Jason came in for some stitches. It was over from that point. She said the one thing about Jason was that he has always been a hard worker. As she was putting in the final stitches to his hand, they decided to exchange numbers. It was all history from there. On July 4, 2018, when they were pulled into the yard as they got back from seeing family, Jason got out the car just dropped down to one knee then said those words she never thought she would hear. He asked "Cierra will you marry me?". She told me she hesitated for a minute because she thought he was joking, but come to find out he was serious and she said “YES I WILL MARRY YOU”. As they became one on their wedding day, they look back now and he says to her "I’m glad I walked into that doctor’s office that day". To him, she says "I’m glad you did too. We are now complete."
- The Wedding Day
Cierra and Jason’s wedding started at 3 pm. She didn’t plan on a big wedding. Just something small and intimate. The plan was to relax and have the best day she could ever have. After all, you only get married once. Her favorite moment of the day was taking that last walk as a single woman down the aisle with her father listening to her favorite song Giving Myself by Jennifer Hudson. She'd always dreamed about walking down the aisle to her future husband with this song. Her dream came true. Small Details that coordinated their venue were of the colors blush pink, gold, and silver. Cierra and Jason gave out fans with their picture on it, which also had the wedding date, time and place. Their favors for their guest were key bottle openers that read “LOVE IS THE KEY TO HAPPINESS”.
- In Their Words
Cierra and Jason both said their day was amazing. More then what they expected it to be. They would love to thank God for making this day perfect for them. Cierra’s advice for all future brides is to “take your time, trust your decisions whether they’re small or large”. Take your time during the engagement. Get to know one another more and more every day. Most of all plan your big day together. Put both sides together and make it happen.
